      Veterinarian

      Vernon Hills Animal Hospital is looking for an associate veterinarian who is ready to take their career to the next level! We are seeking a personable, enthusiastic and motivated doctor to join our busy practice.

      What you’ll find at our practice is a dynamic team that is ready to support you as you continue or begin your professional journey. Our doctors will provide strong mentorship in surgery/dentistry, small mammals (besides dogs and cats) and help you develop a strong business acumen if that’s of interest to you! We have the equipment you’ll need, but if we don’t have a certain item that you really like, we’re willing to get it!

      We pride ourselves on offering the highest standards of care in veterinary medicine, while offering individualized care for each patient. This is accomplished by building strong relationships with our clients, who are highly invested in their pet’s health and will follow through with your recommendations; allowing you to practice your best medicine. Our team is excited to add another doctor so that we can continue our legacy of providing top-tier care to our patients in the community.

      We welcome all experience levels and new graduates. A full-time or part-time position is available.

      The Associate Veterinarian will need an educational background of at least:
      A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.

      Customer Service Representative

      Responsibilities include scheduling appointments; checking in and checking out clients; answering the telephone; setting up new clients and patients; preparation and maintenance of medical records; client communication; filling prescriptions; over the counter sales; mailing; computer operation; financial transactions; filing; and front office and reception area maintenance.

      Veterinary Technician/Assistant

      Technicians are responsible for assisting the doctors; laboratory procedures; radiology; client communication; medical procedures; pharmacy; operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment; inventory; stocking supplies; daily treatment of hospitalized patients; assisting in the operating room; maintenance of the OSHA and Hazardous Materials programs; and hospital maintenance.

      Ward Attendant

      Responsibilities include keeping the animal hospital clean inside and out; feeding, watering, and walking hospitalized patients; stocking supplies; laboratory procedures; and assisting the technicians, assistants, and doctors.
