Otis

Otis is the newest member of our golden retriever family and is the full little brother of our golden, Harbor. Otis is 10 weeks old, super smart, and sweet.
Otis knows how to sit and come. He knows where the treats are and proudly dashes in for one after doing ” good boy” in the yard!
We are in love with our newest addition and the care we get at VHAH!

Lucy

“Lucy” is a 9-week-old mini Australian Shepherd and new member of the Echales family. After recently experiencing her first snowfall, she fell in love. Lucy loves the snow so much that she goes from being a sweet girl to a “Tasmanian devil.” Mr. Echales digs tunnels in the snow for her, and she will rip through them at top speed and then dive headfirst into the ice-cold snow! So far, Lucy has learned how to climb up the stairs. But she hasn’t quite mastered going down them just yet. In due time!

Hazel

“Hazel” is a 10-week-old Labrador Retriever mix and new member of the Giardina family. She loves to go outside with her big brother, Ollie. He is teaching her how to bark at squirrels!

Reyna

I’m 6 years old and came to my family 4 years ago. They tell me I’m a Boxer, Shepard, Staffordshire mix. I love peanut butter, watermelon and my family. Thanks to my friend Loka for sending me to VHAH!

Birdie

Birdie is the newest member of the Krohn family. She is a rescue from Kentucky and was covered in mange, underweight and had a raging case of green eye snot which the staff at VHAH promptly treated. She was also given all her shots and is now completely healthy and living her best life. Birdie currently works household security keeping her loved ones safe from vacuums and brooms. She also works part-time at a doggie daycare as lead fitness instructor. In her spare time Birdie is working towards earning a degree in ornithology and hopes to one day put her bird watching skills to use as a professional bird-watching tour guide. Additional hobbies include running, trying new cuisines off the kitchen floor and annoying her big brother.

Violet

Violet is a six-year-old purebred Ragdoll with a cynical life attitude and some hairball issue. She loves sleeping at random places and staying in cat tubes. Her favorite food is Crave wet food cuts in gravy.

Sassy

She is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who is almost two years old. We adopted her from someone who couldn’t care for her any longer.

Lexi

Lexi is a 4-month-old Moyen Poodle. She is a sweet and loving part of our family. She is not shy, so she has to greet all, no matter if they are two-legged or four. Her tail goes 240 and then sits very regal to met all.

Oliver

Oliver (Ollie or Mr. Ver) is 9 months old, loves belly rubs and wrestling with his big sister Molly. He loves to cuddle if you can catch him and his favorite toys are puff balls, stuffed mice and what we call wormy on a stick.

Rizzo

“Rizzo” is an adorable 8-week-old Golden Retriever and new member of the Canalia family. He’s only been home for a few days, but he’s proving to be very smart. He has a puppy pen in the backyard in which he has learned to back up and take a running jump to try to escape. He loves, in order, his new human big brother, his Snoopy and Woodstock toys, and chewing every branch and leaf he can find in the backyard.

Gus

“Gus” is a 5-year-old Bullmastiff and member of the Porter family. He’s new to us but not to them. Still, he’s so handsome that we had to share his photo. His family tells us that Gus is a 189-lb lap dog! They’ve owned him since he was little, and he is their only child.

Stella

“Stella” is a Catahoula Leopard dog mix puppy with beautiful blue eyes. Her new family, the Cosmano family, calls her their “11-week-old troublemaker.” She’s a cuddle bug who loves to sleep on her owners’ laps.

Bo

“Bo” is a 14-month-old American Bully and a new member of the Baker family. Bo was rescued from a breeder in Milwaukee along with his sister. His sister found a home with another family, but Bo put his magic personality to work, and Mr. Baker ended up adopting him. He is a ‘turkey baby’ because he was born on Thanksgiving Day in 2019. With his sweet personality, no one can resist talking to him.

Hayden

Hayden is an English Cream Golden Retriever and is 9 weeks old in this picture. He loves belly rubs, digging in the dirt and stepping in his water bowl! He is so adorable yet such a troublemaker and is curious about everything he sees and smells! We are working on crate training and house training and he’s doing so well!
